Source Description

Armstrong informs May of his troubles with asthma. He sympathizes with May over the death of John Bishop Estlin and describes Estlin's demeanor. Armstrong says he cannot do much for the Bristol Anti-Slavery Committee on account of his poor health. He tells May that he has been corresponding with Lajos Kossuth. Armstrong finds Kossuth still holds to his early opinion of slavery in spite of an apparent change in attitude.
