Letter from Samuel May, Leicester, [Mass.], to Richard Davis Webb, June 30, 1862
May discusses the proceedings of the New England Convention. He criticizes Parker Pillsbury's charges that the anti-slavery societies have receded from their high moral ground. May discusses the British West Indian emancipation and compares it with the American Anti-Slavery Society's views on the same subject. He mentions the abolition of slavery in one of the Barbary states.
