Letter from Leonard Bacon, New Haven, to Amos Augustus Phelps, 24 Aug. 1845

Leonard Bacon expresses his personal feelings with regard to slavery and missionary work. He is willing to serve on a committee with either Mr. Leavitt or Phelps. He suggests some difficulties which will have to be overcome, before harmonious action is produced.
