Letter from Milton Badger, Andover, to Amos Augustus Phelps, August 8th 1833

Milton Badger expresses his wish that Amos A. Phelps would not preach an anti-slavery sermon at Andover. Antislavery is associated with sectarianism in the area, and delivering an address on the subject will put both Phelps and Badger in an undesirable situation.
