Though illuminated in Flanders (possibly Bruges) in the last quarter of the 15th century, this manuscript was made for the use of a patron in the Champagne region in northeast France. The calendar includes St. Desiderius of Langres (23 May) and Nicasius of Reims (14 December, in red) as well as Arnulphus of Metz (16 August). The final two Saints honored in the suffrages, St. Onuphrius and St. Eularia (presumably actually St. Eulalia, or Eulalie), each have a connection to this region.
