Medallion with the Head of a Maenad

The head of a maenad, wearing an ivy wreath, is carved in relief on the counter. A Bacchic staff, or "thrysos," is visible at the right. The number 13 is inscribed on the back in both Latin (XIII) and Greek numerals.
