I am forwarding herewith 30 pages of material prepared by Mr.
Waldo F. Hayward of Walpole, New Hampshire, on August 11, 1889, on the
subject "Service in the U. S. Sanitary Commission.
As this, in all probability, is of historical value to the Red
Cross, I am sending it to you for transmittal to our Historical Division
at National Headquarters.
