Extracted from letter from Miss Noyes to Miss Torrance, June 2, 1923. 19 Miss Agnes Von Korowsky, perhaps you know her, would like very much to go over and assist Miss LeGros, and I believe she would make a very good Assistant. She has had a good education, speaks French and I think German, perhaps Romanian, quite fluently, is a graduate of the Bellevue School of Nursing, has done some private nursing, was Assistant Night Supervisor at Bellevue for sometime, Instructor of Probationers at Long Island Hospital, Brooklyn, N.Y., and was with the Red Cross in Italy during the war and then returned and was reassigned to the Child Welfare work in Romania. All of her credentials are exceptionally good, and she has a pleasing personality. Her appointment, however, would depend upon your recommendation as to Miss LeGros' ability to direct the School. Has she, in your opinion, shown the qualities that would justify you in recommending her as your successor, or do you think we should send someone else? It would be the exceptional woman who could go out and replace you, for she would be unfamiliar with the situation and Miss LeGros possessing the knowledge of local conditions might create difficulties for both of them." see letter filed 512, Bulgarian School (Corres)
