Subject: Presentation of People-to-People Award to Robert Hill
by Robert Merriam.

Mr. Merriam will present the People-to-People - Award to Robert XOF 130
Hill Monday, June 13 at 3:30 P. M. Robert Hill is a 15 year old
Negro from Waycross, Georgia. He was in Italy in 1958 with his
father, Henryl Hill, staff sergeant at the Naples Headquarters of
1958
Allied Air Forces Southern Europe. Bobby learned of Dr. Albert
Schweitzer from a book and became fascinated with Schweitzer's
quest for peace. Beginning with a letter to General Lindsay, com-
mander of AIRSOUTH,
a drive which resulted in medical supplies valued at more than
followed by radio appeàls, Bobby initiated Richard Curring
$400,000 pouring into Naples to be used by Dr. Schweitzer.
