My dear Mr. President: I, the undersigned, Governor of Hawaii, do hereby certify, pursuant to the Provisions of Section 7(b) of Public Law 86-3 at an election held on June 27, 1959, the following propositions were sub- mitted to the electors qualified to vote in such election for adoption or rejection: Proposition No. 1 - Shall Hawaii immediately be admitted into the Union as a State? Proposition No. 2 - The boundaries of the State of Hawaii shall be as prescribed in the Act of Congress approved March 18, 1959, and all claims of this State to any areas of land or sea outside the boundaries so prescribed are hereby irrevocably relinquished to the United States. Proposition No. 3 - A11 provisions of the Act of Congress approved March 18, 1959, reserving rights or powers to the United States, as well as those prescribing the terms or conditions of the grants of lands or other property therein made to the State of Hawaii are consented to fully by said State and its people. I further certify that each of the foregoing proposi tions was adopted at said election by a majority of the legal votes cast on said submission as follows: Proposition No. 1 For 132,773 Against 7,971 Proposition No. 2 For 132,194 Against 7,654
