for
WASHINGTON
February 12, 1947
Dear Mrs. Roosevelt:
In the light of your letter of February
eleventh I. feel that I have no recourse but to
accept your resignation as a member of the Com-
mission on Higher Education. I do this with
deep regret but with heartfelt appreciation of
the valuable counsel which you have given to the
work.
I shall immediately look into the
situation which you bring to my attention and
I am sure that we can find a way to change
anything that needs to be changed.
Gratefully and sincerely,
Hecopense
lirs. Franklin D. Roosevelt,
