(Present: Secretary Ickes, Edward Flynn) Q Mr. President, there are reports out this afternoon that the Government is taking some steps towards inflation of the dollar. Is there anything you can tell us about that? THE PRESIDENT: It is a typical July story. Q Off the record, Mr. President, can you fill us in on what the situation is on that? Personally I am as ignorant as a nincompoop on it all, and if I could get a little background or off the record -- THE PRESIDENT: On what? Q On inflation and deflation of the dollar and so forth.
