NOTICE TO THE PRESS
The President today announced the appointment of William E. Dunn,
of Salt Lake County, Utah, as a member of the Advisory Commission
of Intergovernmental Relations for a term of two years. Mr. Dunn
is a Salt Lake County Commissioner, and served as Mayor of Murray,
Utah, from 1966 to 1970. He was born on March 26, 1926.
The Commission's purpose is to maintain a continuing review of
the operation of the Federal system and make recommendations for
improvements.
The President has asked Congress to consider amendments for the
fiscal year 1976 in the amount of $4,355,000 and for the trans-
ition period July 1 through September 30, 1976, in the amount of
$1,089,000 for the Federal Election Commission.
The President has vetoed H.R. 4481 - Emergency Employment
Appropriation Act, 1975, which appropriates a total of $4,729
million in budget authority, $485 million in direct and insured
loan authority, and $92 million in appropriations to liquidate
contract authority for the Departments of Agriculture, Commerce,
Ineterior, and Labor; the Corps of Engineers; the General Services
Administration; the Small Business Administration; and other
