NOTICE TO THE PRESS
The President today announced his intention to nominate Elizabeth A.
Kovachevich, of St. Petersburg, Florida, to be a United States
District Judge for the Middle District of Florida. She will succeed
Gerald B. Tjoflat who was appointed to the Fifth Circuit Court of
Appeals on December 12, 1975.
Judge Kovachevich has been Circuit Judge for the Sixth Judicial
Circuit for the State of Florida since 1973.
A biographical sketch is attached.
