Nie Excelleney Asad Al-Fagih, Anbassador Designate of
Saudi Arabia, ealled upon se today at 3:45 p.a. to present
a copy of his Letter of Opedence and of hie Renarks to be
mase to the President as Ambessañor Extraordinary and Pleni-
potentiary. Sheikh Assd Al-Facth presented by Mr. Woodward,
Chief of Protoool.
T inquired concerning the health of the Royal Fonily and
wae informed that N.R.M. Prince Feleal, Foreign Minister, had
undergone an operation for sinum in Paris, and that Hie Majesty
King Tbn Baud was obliged occasionally to use the wheel chair
whion Preeident Roosevelt had given his a few years ago. The
Ambassador assured ne that His Najesty E condition was not
serious.
T inquired also concerning Sheikh Ali All Reza, and
found that he too had been operated upon redently for stomach
uldern.
Othervise our conversation was limited to an exchange
of courtesies.
