MEMORANDOMA OF CONVERSATION WITH THE PRESIDENT
The President's Atlantic Pact Speech
I went over the proposed paragraph as modified in the meeting
in my office with the President and obtained his approval. The paragraph
as presently contained in the draft which he has is the paragraph before
amendment. Whoever is in charge of this should get in touch with
Mr. Cufford and give him the revised form. As revised, it contains
the phrase "funder my authority and instructions". I think it would be
better to leave the final off "Instructions".
