MEMORANDUM
I asked Mr. Lie today whether we could get some
relief that it from would UN be business necessary over to election keep some day. of the He Commit- thought
tees meeting, but thought that Committee I and some of
the other Committees might be recessed. I told him that
it would be almost impossible to get adequate American
representation on the afternoon before election, on the
day itself, or on the day after.
I think this ought to be followed up and some
appropriate arrangements made.
