My respect for you and your judgment makes ne
doubly appreciative of what you say. I only
hope that this time you have not been led into
error.
All of us are most grateful for what
you added to our common work, but I think I
appreciate more than the others how much you
contributed, how much you pointed up our dis-
cussions, and how much the time which you saved
me permitted me to concentrate on the decisive
points and the factors which turned events one
way or the other.
