MR. ACHESON:
with us rather more than not. This fellow used to send in reports -
there was a thing called the Weeka, which was a weekly - well, this
is an abbreviation of something - it was a weekly something or other,
and it was called the Weeka. So he got interested in this thing, and
(he wrote a couple of pieces) that he drafted himself, and these things
began to come out, and they were tremendous. Our effort in the last
piece was concentrating on cutting the grass in the lawn around the
Embassy. This was quite a problem: 25 people employed, and they
had spent 4 days sitting on their behinds, and meantime the grass
grew very high, and no lawnmovers would cut it. By that time the
rain stopped, and the grass became uncuttable (indistinct) ( no way
to cut the grass except for having
)
a great deal
of commotion, which led some people to think that a revolution had
started. Several people were shot (laughter) (indistinct) one of
the more successful (revolutions?) (laughter).
