TARGET PRACTICE
730
1. On the completion of the preliminary work in the McNabb
ystem of rifle instruction every man armed with a rifle in this
.vision will be required to shoot the following course, The
argets used will be, for slow fire - "A" targets; for rapid fire -
targets.

Every effort is being made to have all these targets available for
the different organizations when they go on the range, but as the
number of targets in this country is very limited, it is not at
all
certain whether they will be on hand, and all organizations, prev-
ious to going on the range, will ascertain from the Division Ord-
nance Officer whether these targets are available. If not, they
will have to make targets of their own to conform to the standard
type.
2. Every organization will keep a recerd of the following,
which will be submitted to the office of C-3 as soon as that organ-
ization has completed the above prescribed range work:
(1) Number of men who fired the course.
(2) Total score at each range in the record course, both
for slow and rapid fire.
Aiter all organizations have fired on the course prescribed, the
organization percentage will be computed and the percentage of all
organizations in the Division will be published. The Y.M.C.A. have
offered prizes for this range firing which will be as follows
A Division prize for the organization having the bighest score
in each orgenization.
An individual prize for the man having the highest score in
each organization.
3. As soon as this course is finished all men armed with a
rifle will complete the following course on the 500 and 600 yard
ranges as soon as. possible:
