and for to critical Head quarters 35th Division American Expeditionary Forces 754 11th January 1919, GENERAL ORDERS ) ) No. 6 ) Under the provisions of General Orders from G.H.Q. A.E.F. athletic ins truction will be given to all units except those under instruction at Division Schools and those on special or technical duty. This instruction will be daily, for five days per week, and for not less than one hour at the end of each day's instruct- ion in tactics and drill :gulations. Units taking pert in regimental, brigade, or division meneuvers, covering five hours or more, will be excepted on the day of the maneuver, when athletic instruction is scheduled the other instruction may be limited to four hours for all individuals or whole units receiving athletic instruction on that day. Athletic instruction will be given in accordance with plans to be announed from time to time from these Headquarters under the supervision of the division and unit athletic officers. An athletic officer will be appointed in each regiment, battalion and company. This officer will keep a record of the athletic games and the individual athletic activity of the me n under his charge, in accordance with forms to be issued from these Headquerters. The names and orgenizations cf all regimental and separate unit athletic officers Will be sent direct to the division athletic officer, Company officers will assist in this athletic instruction.
