Dear Bruce:
Yours of September 24th received yesterday and I was very
glad to hear that you are woll and satisfied in your new posi-
tion. Well, I hope you make a good record in it, as I am sure
you will.
The Battory has been in action several times, and has beon
vory We have enly two casualities and they are but slight
wounds. We were lucky enough to get in the last Mag drive. We
had some direct targets and I think, did somo good for the advance.
We are resting now in billets preparatory to going back., and I
hope the next hitch will bring us to the Rhine.
I am enclosing the letter you ask for, and will request Col.
to sond you a similar one.
