FIELD ORDER #1 Lambert Map. 1/30000 I (a) A Reconnaissance of the Sector to be occupied by the Regiment will take place on the 23a and 24th August 1918. (b) The personnel of the reconnaissance will consist of the following: 1.Regimental Commander, Adjutant, Operations and The Telephone Officers, 6 N.C.Os Telephones and 2 N.O.Os Observers, French interpreter. 2.Battalions Commanders, Adjutants, Orientation and Tolephone Officers, 6 N.C.O's. Telephones and 2 N.C.0' observers (for each Battalion) 3.For Batteries which are to relieve French batteries (Batteries B, E and F): Battery Commander and 1 lieutenant, 1 Ammunition N.O.O., 6 Tolephonists, a N.C.O's observers. 4.For Batteries which are to ocoupy new positions (Batteries A, C and D): Battery Commander and 1 lieutenant 1 N.C.O. Telephenist and 1 N.O.O. observer. (o)1.The Reconnaigsance party will be roady to leave its present location on trucks at 5:00 A.M. 23 August. 3.Each member of the Reconnaissance party shall take with him complete field equipment and 2 days rations. 3.The lst Bn. tzuok will report at Payrou ana the and Bn truck at Road Crossing 7682 near Payrou at 9:00 A.M. when both trucka will be met by guides to take them to the French group commanders Hdqrs. II. (a) At 9:00 P.M. 23 August 1918 the entire Regiment will leave its present place for Kruth where oamp site and pioket line will be assigned. Order of march, Headquarters Co., Batteries A, B, c, D, E, F, Supply Co. with 10 minites interval between each organization. Each gun carriage and caisson will have an 8 horse team, caoh fourgon a 4 horse team. No riding on carriages will be allowed (b) The batteries to be relieved are situated as fol- lows:
