X. ACTIVITY OF OUR OWN TROOPS.
On the night of Sept. 19, two French patrols encountered German patrol
between G. C. AVOCOURT and G. C. MOULIN. The German patrol withdrew, One French
Patrol traversed the entire LA COUR trench including dugouts, but found no trace
of
the
enemy, A sign was found on the parapet of BOIS de CLERMONT which read,
"Au revoir, we will take prisoners next time".
