ENEMY WORKS. ARCHIVES "NATIONAL RECORDS SERVICE" AND None reported. VIII. ENEMY AERONAUTICS. Four single planes reported over sector during period. At 16:40h, a patrol of four planes flew over our lines and circled aroun MANHEULLES, ten minutes later, two planes came from enemy lines and circled over MANHEULLES. They were fired on by our Anti-Aircraft Guns but without effect, One enemy plane dropped propaganda printed in French over s/s VAUX and s/s TAVANNES. Three enemy balloons reported active during day in vicinity of ETAIN, WARCQ AND ST. GEORGES FME. IX. MISCELLANEOUS. One of our patrols in the vicinity of BLANZEE reported loud talking and sounds of wagon traffic on road north, between the hours of 20:00 and 24:00. Gmoke seen from point U-26.18 from 12:30 to 16:30. Large signal projector seen working toward enemy front line from point P-38,39 in small clump of trees, Usual number of flares during night. X.
