A.E.F. , is quoted for the information of all concerned; "M-365, Section I, General Order 31, C.S. , these Headquerters, make the following announcements: February 22nd, 1919, , being Washington's Birthday, all duty except that which is necessary will be suspended on that day." II. PRECAUTION TO PREVENT STOPPAGE OF GUTTERS. Special precaution will be taken to prevent stoppage of gutters by obstructing same with snow, ice or rubbish during periods of thaw. III. SERVICE COVERAGENC All emply bread sacks will be turned in to the Division Quartermaster. V. OFFICERS FOR STATF JUDGE ADVOCATE'S WORK. The Second Army desires to secure the services of a number of line officers for Staff Judge Advocatols work. Tho se desired are officers who are graduates of law school and have practiced law for four or five years and were in active practice when they entered the service. Mere trial lawyers are not desired. Officers desirous of being considered in connection with such work may so inform the Division Judge Advocate in writing direct, giving in each instance, a general statement as to age, previous practice, and any other re- marks that will assist in deciding upon the advisability of their detail. VI. LIST OF ACCOUNTABLE OFFICERS. In order that the Division Ordnance Officer may comply with instructions from the Chief Ordnance Officer, American E.F. each organization commander in the 35th Division is directed to forward to the Division Ordnance Officer, 35th Division, the name of the accountable officer when the organization arrived at its particular station in Europe, also the names of the successors of such account- able officer where change was made without rendering a final return as required by G. O. 74, H.A. Be Fo, 1917. It is also requested that any explanation be included necessary to a clear understanding of each case; as in case of the death of such accountable officer. The Ohief Ordnance Officer, American E.a. interprets the provision "its particular station in Europe" to refer to the training area or first station of sufficient duration to enable the return in question to 03 made. CONDIMENT CANS The Commanding General, 35th Division, having directed that, owing to the shortage of condiment cans st the Second Army Ordnance Debot at Toul which makes it impossible to supply these cans to organ- izations, all condiment cans now in the possession of troops will be (over)
