You will have learned from a previous cable from the President to Marshal Stalin that Harry Hopkins is coming to Moscow with me. Hopkins accompanied by Mrs. Hopkins and Bohlen will fly directly from Washington to Paris where on account of his health they will remain overnight at the Ameri can military headquarters and then fly directly to Moscow with me in my plane. The route proposed is for Hopkin' 8 comfort and convenience. There should be no publicity from Moscow prior to release in Washington. Request you explain all of the above to Molotov or Vyshinski person- ally and ask authorization visas and for flight of my plane Paris to Moscow. Hopkin's party will stay at Spaso. My party consists of Kathleen, Meiklejohn, David Henry and Col. Kirk- LIE endall. Military Mission has identification of my plane. My party and crew members have visas.
