MEMORANDUM FOR:
THE PRESIDENT.
Attached are my copies of the summaries on a number
of subjects which may be discussed at the forthcoming
conferences, which were prepared by Lt. Elsey on Admiral
Leahy's and my requests.
These summaries cover only the material in the map
room and the Naval Aide's office (with the exception of
Clipperton Island) and are intended to provide a brief
background for discussion on the subject topics.
So far as I know these summaries are in addition to
any which may be prepared in connection with the agenda to
be submitted by State and the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Originals are in possession of Admiral Leahy.
Lt. Elsey tells me that the memorandum on the relations
with DeGaulle was prepared at the request of Admiral Leahy .
Very respectfully,
