Dear Mr. Ebeling:
Your letter of November t enth in which you
request some photographs showing what is to be done to the
X 72
house and gardens of the White House in the course of its
renovation, has been received.
lie do not have photographs available for dis-
tribution but news service photographers have taken a
large number of photographs, some of which probably would
serve your purpose. It is my suggestion that you inquire
of one or more of those services concerning the photographs
available. These agencies include: Acme Newspictures, Inc.,
1013 - 13th Street, N.W.; Associated Press Photos, 330 Star
Building; and International News Photos, 1317 - 1321 H Street,
N. W.
As a matter of possible interest to you I enclose
a copy of an address by Mr. Douglas 16. Orr, Vice-Chairman
of
the Commission on Renovation of the Executive Mansion which
is in charge of this work.
Sincerely yours,
3
