My dear Mr. Sutton:
Your letter of August ninth on be-
half of the Indian Rights Association has been
received. In reply, I have pleasure in advis-
ing you that on August thirteenth the President
approved H. R. 4497, a bill "To create an In-
dian Claims Commission, to provide for the
powers, duties and functions thereof, and for
other purposes."
