Dear Mr. Attorney General:
Your letter, referring to the President
the subpena received by you from the Subcommittee of
the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, has been
received at the White House.
I am enclosing herewith a copy of the
letter which the President has written to the Chairman
of the Subcommittee concerning this matter. In this
letter the President states that he is directing that you
not comply with the subpena.
