able.
The attempt to disqualify and embarrass
an able and honest public servant like Mr. Virden for
such remote reasons is really stretching for the head-
lines and is a disservice to the American people in
throatening them with the loss of a good public ser-
vant like Mr. Virden when good public officials are
so needed.
