My dear Mr. Rogers:
The President has asked me to thank you
for your letter of April nineteenth on behalf of
the City Council of Easton, Pennsylvania, with the
enclosed copy of a resolution expressing apprecia-
tion of the action taken by him in the steel situa-
#
tion. It was thoughtful of you to write and let
him have this assurance of confidence and support.
Very sincerely yours,
WILLIAM D. HASSETT
Secretary to the President
Mr. Chester E. Rogers,
City Clerk,
X
Easton,
Pennsylvania.
