Dear Mr. President,
Pros
The method you have handled the office of President of the United
States has been an inspiration to me as a Citizen of this great country
and as ayoung man hoping to enter the field of Politics after completion
of my college education.
We Veterans of the past war appreciate the consideration you have
shown us in veterans' affairs. The privilege of attending school under
the G.I. Bill of Rights has been deeply appreciated also.
You have shown great courage in defying the propaganda of news and
radio critics. It takes that great democratic spirit called "guts" to
call a man a S.O.B... The Puritans may not have loved the word but every
G.I. and red-blooded American received an inspiration from it since we
want the President to run the country not a negativistic radio commen-
tator. The stand you have taken toward the production of the H. Bomb
#
is admirable because the safety of our wonderful country depends on our
preparedness fromm now until eternity.
I hope God will always be at your side in aiding you to do the best
