The President of the United States
Washington, D. C.
My dear Sir:
As a citizen of the United States I would like
to state that there should be no indecision on your part
in regard to the hydrogen project, in view of the fact that
our leading scientists/have stated that it is feasible. I
feel that this should be a sufficient basis for your final
decision. My personal opinion is that if you would spend
more money on scientific projects with particular merits
such as this one and would send less money to Europe, you
might be doing something to be remembered as a president
who at least had some foresight scientifically.
I do not mean this to be a sarcastic letter but
because of my great interest and belief in science I feel
it my duty to write you on this subject.
