The President,
The White House,
Washington, D. C,
Sir:
I
My attention has recently been called to the fact that beer
is being served to soldiers who come to the White House for "tea."
I am writing to ask you why our boys are being thus tempted to be
victimized by the brewers? Your gesture of hospitality is to be
commended, but why not serve soft drinks as an example to soldiers
at the White House?
I have the honor to remain,
