My dear Mrs. Bronson:
The President has received your telegram
"B"
of October thirteenth and appreciates your interest
in letting him have this expression of views. He
asks me to advise you that on October seventeenth
he returned S. 1407 to the Senate without his ap-
proval.
I am sending you the enclosed copy of
the President's veto message for your ready
reference.
Very sincerely yours,
WILLIAM D. HASSETT
