Memorandum for President Truman regarding

General Marshall and a letter from a
Special Camp in Kenya.
RARRY Es. ARCHIVES ARDS TRUMAN NATIONAL LIBRARY
Dear Mr. President:
U.S. GOVERNMENT
The letter from the Special
Camp in Kenya is dated March 18. Secretary
Marshall, in his referral to you, points out
that the British Ambassador states that the
High Commissioner for Palestine has instituted
inquiries into the complaints made therein.
I would respectfully suggest
that you ask Secretary Marshall to ask the
British Ambassador for the results of the in-
quiries instituted by the High Commissioner
from Palestine, and that you indicate to Secre-
tary Marshall your sympathies with the alleged
plight of the Jewish detainees in the Special
Camp in Kenya. I especially suggest "the ex-
pression of sympathy" for the record.
