82-2 June 6, 1947 My dear Mr. Frankel: Your letter of June third to the President has been received and I regret that we cannot meet your wishes. So many matters are confronting the President at this time that we have found it neces- sary to ask that he be excused from complying with the innumerable requests for his signature which # are constantly coming to him. I am indeed sorry but feel sure that you will understand. Very sincerely yours, MATTHEW J. CONNELLY Secretary to the President eb Mr. Frederick Frankel, 1817 West Lombard Street, x Baltimore 23, Maryland.
