My dear Mr. Fish:
Thank you, on behalf of the President,
for your letter of July fourth with enclosures.
Because of the extremely heavy pressure upon
his time, it is utterly impossible for the
President to respond personally to the many
messages and letters being received. However,
you may be sure that your friendly thought of
him is appreciated.
Very sincerely yours,
MATTHEW J. CONNELLY
Secretary to the President
Mr. Elmer Fish,
1108 5th Street, S.W.,
Canton, Ohio.
