My dear Mr. Fielding:
Thank you, on behalf of the President,
for your letter of November fifteenth. Because
of the extremely heavy pressure upon his time,
it is impossible for the President to comply
72-7
with the innumerable requests for signed photo-
graphs which are being received. However, you
may be assured that your friendly thought in
writing is appreciated and the good wishes you
extend are heartily reciprocated.
Very sincerely yours,
MATTHEW J. CONNELLY
Secretary to the President
Mr. Charles W. Fielding,
6001 Vine Street,
Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania.
