My dear Mr. Fingerson:
I am indeed sorry that I must send
a disappointing reply to your letter of November
twenty-eighth. The demands upon the President's
time are so great these days that we have been
forced to adopt the policy of bringing to his
attention only those matters which are strictly
official. I know that you will understand.
With all good wishes,
Very sincerely yours,
MATTHEW J. CONNELLY
Secretary to the President
Mr. Luther Fingerson,
312 N. Blair Street,
Madison,
Wisconsin.
