My dear Mrs. Patterson:
Please accept thanks, on behalf of the
President, for your letter of June thirtieth. You
may be sure that he appreciates your kind word of
commendation and approval.
It was thoughtful of you, to tell us
about your proposed book. I am afraid, however,
that this office is unable to be helpful to you
as a policy of long standing prevents us from
expressing opinions regarding the merits of
musical and literary compositions, or from taking
any part in the publication of them.
