Dear Sir:
Attached below is a clipping from this morning's
edition of one of our local newspapers. It would seem to
me that if your views are such that you cannot De called
a good Baptist and you are subjected to criticism in public
because of them, then it would De a good idea to consider a
church that is more liberal - for instance, The Episcopal
Church.
I am not prompted to suggesting this church to you
simply because I am an Episcopalian, but rather it is due to
my having read somewhere that both Mrs. Truman and your
daughter are members.
