My dear Mr. Boggs:
This will acknowledge the receipt of
your letter of June tenth. While the President
deeply appreciates your kind thought in sending
on the old papers to which you refer, he feels
that you should not be deprived of their pos-
session. For this reason, they are returned
to you herewith.
The President wants you to know that
your friendly remembrance of his mother is most
