Mr. President: The attached copy of "Historical Vincidations" by Sewall S. Cutting is complete as shown on title page. The discourse is dedicated to the Venerable First Baptist Church in the City of Providence, R.I. The Preface among other things says: "The Confessions of 1643 and 1689 are inserted, x 76 -A 76 -A because, though absolutely essential to the knowledge of Baptist doctrinal history, they are to most readers now inaccessible." I have had this Volume many years. I do not be- lieve you will find it in even the Library of Congress or the New York City Library. If you, Mr. President, are interested in owning this volume (after making inquiries of the Librarian) I will send it to you via registered mail for your appraisal. It is a rare book. # x Jos.
