SENATOR HARRY S. TRUMAN
It is a pleasure to be here at home
tonight and I heartily appreciate your
asking me to come and say something to you
about current issues in Congress.
The controversy over the Supreme Court
is causing more newspaper and radio com-
ment than anything else now being consider-
ed. The Tories hope it is the end of
Roosevelt. The Reds hope it is an opening
wedge for the general break-down of Ameri-
can institutions. They are all hopeful
of gaining something - - they really don't
