COPD Washington, D. c. April 17, 1940 Hold H. A. Baker, President Springfield Traffic Club Springfield, Missouri . SERVICE' Dear Mr. Baker: Appreciate very highly yours of the Thir- teenth, and thank you most sincerely for inviting some of my friends to the Tranic Club Dinner. I rather think I had better stay et the Colonial, because they usually arrange E. parlor and bedroom together so that I can hold a sort of reception. It is more conveniently located near the business district, and there will no doubt be a great number of people who will want to come in and shake hands with me. I made a date to address the Roosevelt Womens Club at a luncheon that day, the location of which I have not yet been informed. I shall probably arrive in Springfield on the early morning train from St. Louis on the Seventh, because I will probably have to fly out from here on the night of the Sixth, but will let you know definitely the time of my arrival as soon as I can make definite arrangements. Sincerely yours, Harry S. Truman HST/ro
