Mr. Walter B. Boyd
Butterfield, -issouri
Dear Mr. Boyd:
Replying to your letter of the Nine-
teenth, I find that a member of my office
staff discussed your case with the Board of
Veterans Appeals, and it seems that your case
has been certified but the Board is so far behind
in its work that it will be some time before
any action is taken in the matter.
You understand, of course, that appeals
are received from all over the United States,
and they are considered by the Board in accordance
with their appearance on the appeal docket.
I cannot tell you just when your case
will be reached on the docket, but 1 will be glad
to keep in touch with the Board in your behalf
and notify you when a decision has been reached.
Sincerely yours,
Harry S. Truman
