The migration into Tonnessee, Kentucky, Ohio and the Northwest Territories had opened up new landa and created new problema, even es the age-old ones were still perplexing the Adana administration. Bank failures, unemployment and the farm problema were just es lively and perplexing in the deys one hundred years ago sa they are today. There vas a general feeling weat of the Appelachian Mountains thet the Weshington governnent sas a long way off and not particularly interested in the general welfare of the country as e whole.
